The importance of play infographic

The above infographic explains why so many people believe that we need to have time for children to explore, to run freely, to play collective or solo games or playact.

We live in a world that is increasingly selling the idea of personal creativity as the means to develop ideas and solutions to problems yet our schools are increasingly cutting back on the arts in the curriculum and allowing our children less and less time for free play.

I really fear for our future if we continue along these lines.
